Minority Entrepreneurism

A series of conversations between Damon Autry and Leon Richardson spawned interest in developing this document. Their discussions focused on the economic conditions in communities of color and the ways in which those conditions could be strengthened.

Leon, as president and CEO of ChemicoMays, decided to lend his insight as a successful 27-year entrepreneur to this endeavor. It was Leon’s insight, coupled with his experience serving as chairman of the National Association of Black Suppliers, and as a board member of both the Michigan Minority Business Development Council and the General Motors Supplier Diversity Council, that gave Damon the knowledge base necessary to develop and hone this narrative.
